O Lord! You know the hearts of Your people, and yet you let us live.

What a gracious God we serve!

God we thank you that we can live for Your glory.

May our incense rise to You, and may we never stop praising You.

Lord help us to draw closer to You

and Father? Forgive us if we step outside Your will.

Birth of Jesus – Hope to the people

The birth of Jesus brought us hope. It brought us out of despair. God sent His son to lead us out of darkness into the marvelous light. Hosanna! Hosanna to the highest! Glory to God for all that He has done for us. The fact that He sent His son Jesus Christ, is the greatest thing that ever happened in history. Otherwise we still would’ve sat in misery and just continued to sin. But now we have a reason to live, a reason to shout for joy. Because God lives, we can see tomorrow. It is because of His grace that we can breathe another breath. Hallelujah to the One who sits on high. Who gives us hope to live, the One who helps us through all the hard trails that we face. The One who gives us a gift of eternal life. The one who walks by our side showing us the way.

O how glorious is Your works o God! Praise Your holy name. May our lives be a living sacrifice to Your name

To You be the glory, power and kingdom

Forever and ever

See through

In the world that we live we tend to put on a mask when we encounter people, because we don’t want them to see the hurt. When God chose David as king He said that He doesn’t look at the outer appearance of a man/woman but looks at the heart. God sees right through us and when we enter His presence we are undone by His glory. We can’t wear a mask when it comes to God. Therefor it is ok to look down sometimes, because when life hits you out of no where you tend to be saddened or frustrated.

That is why it is of utter importance that you have people in your life that can speak into your life and that can be by your side when you go through stuff. As Christians we don’t need to act fake. We don’t follow that motto “fake it until you make it”. NO! We live in victory.

It came to me a couple of days back when I didn’t feel well. I drew my strength from the Giver of life and felt energized immediately. Death couldn’t hold Christ down so why must it hold us down. We must see straight through the problem and look to Jesus. Yes, I know it is difficult, but God is standing at the opposite side of that problem trying to catch you attention.

He knows the outcome of every trial. All we need to do is look to the cross of Calvary.

Open arms

What?! Where did that attack come from?! I fell and wasn’t prepared for it at all. Be vigilant believers! Don’t let your guard down one moment. As scripture say “Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

Run to the Father’s arms. He is standing with open arms waiting for you to run to Him. Don’t indulge yourself with the things of this world, but renew your mind knowing what the will of the Father is. Build each other as long it is still day. We are part of the body of Christ and the moment if one gets heart all suffer. Therefor we must be there for one another in the time of need. Run to the Father, be prepared to preach the Word to your fellow believer. Put on the armor of God and don’t let your guard down. Don’t be condemned if you sin, for the is no condemnation for those who live in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).

God loves you no matter what. Dwell on the Word of God daily.

Cling to what is good and hate what is evil. Keep your friends in prayer.

Don’t let anything steal that intimacy you have with Christ.

Devotion on previous post (Overflow Devo)

We will be working with Psalm 23 over the next 6 days (including today).

Psalm‬ ‭23:5‬ ‭“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

In life we go through some tough times. Trails and tribulations that tests our character in general, but also our Spiritual authority. In the previous post I talked about the love of God overflowing in our lives, compelling us to do good in the Father’s eyes. If we are filled by His love, we will want to do good. Reminds me of that scripture which says “cling to what is good and flee from what is evil”. Therefor it is important to spend time with God. Not just read the Bible, but also be still before Him, waiting upon Him to speak to you. This last couple of weeks I’ve changed my devotion to worship, being still (waiting upon the Lord and also experiencing how He fills me with His love, praying) and then going into the Word. It has really been helping me to stand against the attacks of the enemey, because I was filled with the love of God. That is why we begin with verse 5 of Psalm 23, because God let our cup overflow with His love. When we are filled with His love, we experience a sense of freedom that nothing else in life can give us. That love keeps our Light burning in the times of trouble. That Light helps us to serve other with God love and create an oppertunity to have an encounter with the Father’s love.

Even though the attacks come. We know God is by our side and has called us to live a holy life. That is where ‘You anoint my head with oil’ comes in. He has anointed and chosen us to stand up against the attacks of the enemy, not jsut for ourselves, but for others as well.

Continue to live in His presence, being filled by His love that enables you to overcome and walk in victory.

Have a blessed day.
