On what do you focus?

In you daily life, what do you think about? We are called to equip our minds with the helmet of salvation. To focus on the One that is salvation. Then we equip ourselves with the helmet of salvation, because our meditation becomes God. He is the only thing that ought to be on our mind and everything we do we do to the glory of His name. He will remind you by His Spirit what to do. He is the author and the finisher of our faith.

God wants to show us His mysteries, but how can He show us when our minds are occupied by a dozen other things.

Let us read His word more, become more desperate for the things that He wants to show us.

How desperate do you want to be conformed into the image of His son?

What you focus on you’ll become.

Let the word of the Lord become our meditation.

Hard Journey

As a Christian life will not always be easy. Please understand that I am not trying to speak negatively, but actually encourage you to stay on this journey you are walking with God. Yes, it will be hard at times, but that is the time you must rejoice. Being “persecuted” as Christian is actually a good thing. It means that you’re walking closer to God and you are obeying what He is tells you to do. That scares the devil. The moment we step into that place of obedience and authority the devil will try and attack us. Why? Because he knows the power of God and he also know if we step into that authority God has given us, we will be a threat to the darkness.

The journey is not easy, but those who endure to the end will be saved.

Feeling like an instrument

Although we are in Christ a new creation and free to live. In that freedom bring glory to His name. In His hands we are like instruments. He plays the right note when He needs us to do something , it is up to us if we want to live in harmony and respond to that note being played by God. By responding, we obey His command and share our faith if that is what is expected of us in that moment.

Live out your faith and be open to be used by God.

Be like an instrument in His hands.

Testifying of God’s goodness

Seek every opportunity  to testify of God’s goodness. Some people are  encouraged when they hear a testimony you’ve shared. God sends people over your path so you may encourage them with your testimony and through that He is glorified.

Share! :D. 

The testimony serves as a message of hope towards the other person and encourages them to still keep their faith in God.

Blank page

Every day starts with a blank page. Every morning we wake up with grace from above. The Lord God Almighty reigns and his light is shining upon us.  We yet have another opportunity to start the day new and bring glory to God.  So what will we do to bring glory to God ?  In this day shine Your light on us so people may see Your glory and may be drawn near by Your light.

Be glorified through us today Father and may we exalt Your name above every situation and in all things.  To you be the glory, power and the kingdom for ever and ever amen.

Power of prayer

One day I was walking to going get something in the car.  The moment I approached the car there was a lady next to me trying to start a car but it didn’t want to.  I thought then and there of brain for the car to start and I just that  thought the car started.  If a thought can only do so much power how more can a prayer do?  We are warriors in the kingdom of God not warriors with natural armor, but faithful prayer warriors taking part in what’s happening in the kingdom of God.

Praying constantly is like talking to a friend for hours. My brain we are talking to God our Creator.  In the Word he told us to pray without ceasing.   Can’t use this as a formal setting tasks on earth. We are prayer warriors  have a responsibility towards the kingdom of God,  because we pray is like a counter attack against what the devil is trying to do.  Counter attack against what the devil is trying to do

Therefore take up the full armour of God. Stand and pray without ceasing

His perfect love

His perfect love casts out all fear. God is good, all the time. He is always faithful. Therefor we have nothing to be anxious about, to fear or to be afraid of. God is in control of every situation, He is the author and finisher of our faith. He is there to lend a helping hand towards us, but it is up to us to accept it or not.

God already knows the answer to every question, just ask Him. He knows everything about you, just surrender.

Prepare your hearts, for the kingdom of God is at hand.

Grace from above

As raindrops  falls from the sky grace is pouring down from heaven.  Each of us has received a portion of grace given to us by God*.  Soak it up like a sponge and enjoy it.  Share how the grace of God changed your life. Thank God for His hand in your life, because every day He covered you with His grace. The grace of God falling from heaven is a blessing from our heavenly Father. Let us rejoice and be glad for the grace and love God pours on our lives.  May His praise always be on your lips.

The Lion of Judah roars

God didn’t give us a spirit of timidity, but of boldness to preach His word.

Still till this day, I am living with a fear of rejection and can’t shake it off.

This morning during praise and worship the Lord came and moved in our midst and broke the chain. It was all led of His Spirit and things are about to change.

It is time to speak with boldness. Being led of His Spirit to preach the Word. All of it will be done without any effort, for the Spirit already made a way.

The biggest secret in it all is not to think when He speaks but do. We tend way the options and then deny the commission (and I am a culprit of this) .

In the times of Abraham and Moses… They are the best example to describe what I am trying to explain in the paragraph above. When God called Abraham to go to a foreign land. Abraham didn’t question God, but obeyed. The moment God spoke to Moses through the burning bush, Moses hesitated.

I can identify with Moses, but want to trust God to lead me to be like Abraham.

He will do it! He will lead you! Nothing to fear! Just to obey.

Lovers of pleasure, but Jesus

Ever heard of the saying “one step in the world and one step in the kingdom?”

Like Lot was drawn to Sodom and Gomorah. We as Christians get drawn into the things of this world. Some find themselves sold out for Jesus, but there is some of us that just can’t let go of the worldy things to follow Christ.

God calls us to love Him with all that we have. That is the ultimate goal. It is pursuing Him and pressing into the mark of the upward call in God. God calls us to run this race, here on earth, with endurance.

I love the example of Abraham that pursued a city which Maker and Builder was God. His eyes was set on Christ. All that He wanted to do is to be with Christ. How awesome is that?!

That is what we were made for. To be lovers of His presence, to bring the light to the world. We were called to be ambassadors for Jesus, but the hard reality js that we sometimes get so caught up in the world that we forget about Him.

My goal with this blog today is to inspire you to pursue Christ. Letting go of the things of this world to acquire the Pearl of great price. His name is Jesus! The One who saves!

Let us set out on this journey to seek Jesus.

Challenged, Afraid & amped

The last few days God has caused the fire to burn again. Although the fear of man hasn’t held back from creeping in. Yet, there is that excitement that God will do a great work. A great work of His Spirit coming to stir the burning desire to share the Good News.

For long I have been hiding my “light” under the bush and now is the time to let it shine by sharing the love of Jesus with all.

Just reminded of Romans 10 that says ” ¹⁴ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? ”

People need to hear the Good News. They need to hear the Full Gospel!

What I mean by the Full Gospel sounds bit like the following: It all started in the Garden of Eden. God created male and female. Everything was perfect and without sin. Then came the fall.

Therefore, for generations people have tried to work out their own salvation. Christ came and offer us salvation. He came to offer that forgiveness and grant us salvation.

Now that is WoW!

Forgiveness granted, we are free from the life we once lived and now we can live unto Him. As the Word says “what ever you do, let it be done in the name of the Lord”

Lastly is to fix our eyes on the One that will be coming back to fetch us. We ought to live holy lives, waiting on Him to come and take His bride. For Christ has been waiting for thousand of years to come and get us. God has held back the coming, because He wants as many people possible to be saved.

Let’s adhere to the calling and make heaven crowded.

Urgent message?!

Are we serious about the Lord? Are we proclaiming the kingdom of God is at hand? The day of the Lord is near and we need to be ready with oil in our lamps. We need to preach to the nations or the people alongside us. The time of luxury or just sitting around is over.

People! WE NEED TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT GOD! WAKE UP! Why are we continuing in our individualism culture or just focusing on our own salvation. God commanded us to go and preach the gospel to the nations! We need to listen, we need to start somewhere.

Come on people. Wake up

Point to Jesus

Do our lives, the way we live, point people to Jesus? By that I mean do the things we do bring them closer to God or lead them to idolatry?

Our lives are to be representing Christ. We ought not to draw glory unto ourselves. For we are created for His glory.

Weapon of mass destruction

Your mouth can cause a lot of destruction if you don’t watch what you say. Psalm 141:3 says “Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.” If we look at the life of Jesus. He only did what He see the Father do. How many times do we do what the Father does or do we continue in our own wickedness. If partake of this world and become more like it, then we’ll speak like the world and therefor sow destruction. If we meditate on the word of God, day and night as the book of Joshua says, then we’ll speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. Scripture also say that we must  encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,”. But we can only do that if we are in tune with the Spirit of God. We’re called to speak life and the only way of doing that is hearing what the Father wants us to say.

Things would start to change if we start speaking life.

Is He enough?

Do you find Jesus to be enough in your life? or when the tough gets going, you find yourself running to other things for help. God has come to give us life to the full. When we encounter a crises or any other situation. He is the one we should call. He is the one with all the wisdom in the world and will be more than willing to help and guide us in the right direction.

He is enough.

Heart

O Lord! You know the hearts of Your people, and yet you let us live.

What a gracious God we serve!

God we thank you that we can live for Your glory.

May our incense rise to You, and may we never stop praising You.

Lord help us to draw closer to You

and Father? Forgive us if we step outside Your will.

Tool kit

“Fools have the wrong tools”
Quite a radical statement, but true at the same time. If you don’t have the right tools in life, as a Christian, you struggle to get through life. The moment you get to a church, slot in and make sure that you get yourself equipped. If you get equipped, it will help you to approach believers and non believers when sharing the word. Sometime we need some guidance in how to make disciples or how to evangelize. 

For long I didn’t make use of my church’s equipping tools, because I was always to busy. Now recently I started to go through some stuff and I really have felt enriched by it. 

Don’t avoid what is given to you to grow in God. Pursue it and get equipped 

By fire

As God led the Israelites by fire. He leads us by His Holy Spirit by day. For if He calls we must follow. Take up our cross and follow Him. He will provide, will bless if we obey His word.
